Attitude of Expectancy
Our fourth area in the life of being a disciple is having an Attitude
of Expectancy. This is one area that I think the church may need a
shot in the arm. I see so many people come to church, meetings and
events with very little expression on their face. They seem to come
out of duty. Now take these same people and have them go see their
favorite sports team and they are pumped about being there and the
possibility of a win. I have news for them, Jesus has already won.
I pray for a day when people come expecting to hear from God, expecting to see lives changed, expecting to see God change their life. I wonder if a group of people gathered with one vision and mission and passion what could be done. Do you and I have an attitude of expectancy? Do we anticipate God to move in and through our lives? I believe if we did live this way, we would be surprised how often we would see God working in lives.
