Mirroring Christ
Our second characteristic that we are going to look at in our becoming a person of IMPACT is Mirroring Christ. This is key to us being a person that influences those around us. There are so many characteristics that we could look at and some of these we will look at over the next few entries. Here are several that are foundations. The first is our motivation needs to be love. When we look at how Jesus engaged people it was done out of love. There was not pity on them. His heart was moved with companion.
I also see A command of the scriptures. Jesus knew the Bible. I know many would say well da, he was behind the writing of them. I think we miss the fact that we are told he grew in wisdom, knowledge and stature of men. I also see that Jesus was fully God and fully man and we forget that. I think the reason that Jesus knew the scripture so well is because he studied it.
I will finish with that character trait. I also want to encourage you that if you really want to know Jesus read the Gospels. You could find a harmony of the Gospel's that way you get a chronological flow and see how they all fit together. This will give you a great overview and flow to Jesus and his priorities.
